BCCI Sport’s Day

**No ESA/ASC/Sports on Thursday and Friday (5 & 6 November)

Thursday

Students only/no parents on this day

Students wear a t-shirt matching their team color or PE uniform.

Primary/Middle School/High School students will be done at 4:00pm

Friday—the big day!

Parents Welcome!

Students should arrive at 7:50am

Lunch will be served for both students and parents (and staff)

The day will end around 3:30pm

Kindergarten Parents

13 November is Kindergarten Sports Day with PPM2. The schedule and more information will be coming soon.

New Path

New path for walking from the parking lot to BCCI. For safety, please do not walk down the driveway. See photos below.

Parent drivers: thank you for driving through the parking lot after dropping off your child(ren). This makes our campus safer and improves traffic flow.

Student Painting Award

We are proud to announce that Petch, a BCCI Grade 10 student, has been selected as a finalist in the Italthai Portrait Prize 2026, a nationwide portrait painting competition in Thailand. This year’s theme, “The Ordinary Extraordinary,” celebrates ordinary people whose everyday acts of kindness, patience, and dedication make a meaningful difference in the world. Petch’s portrait highlights the beauty and significance found in ordinary lives. His artwork will be exhibited at River City Bangkok Art Gallery on November 24, 2026. This achievement recognizes his artistic talent, creativity, and ability to communicate meaningful stories through portraiture. Congratulations to Petch on this remarkable accomplishment!

After break, we will be working on report cards and scheduling times for the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on 30 October. Please plan on attending to meet teachers. The best education for students is when teachers  and parents work together. After the break, we will release the appointment calendar for meeting the teachers.

Also keep in mind that we have no school on 23 October for a Thai holiday.

Classroom Spotlight

From T. Grace: Last month the 7th grade history class was studying Imperial China. As part of our exploration of the importance of silk production in the Chinese economy during this era, the students learned how to spin thread out of silk pods! It was awesome to give the students a physical connection to a historical handcraft, especially one that has been so important to Chinese history. Together, we actually produced quite a bit of silk thread and I've never seen a middle school classroom so focused!

Making BCCI Education Stronger

Professional Development Day

Did you know that BCCI will receive an accreditation visit by Christian Schools International (CSI) and WASC in January? Our work on this visit began last spring.

We did very important work on the PD Day on 25 September. It was a day off school but a big work day for teachers. We are reviewing every aspect of our school,  discussing how we are successful and considering areas for improvement. Accreditation is a big test for BCCI. And it makes BCCI better and better for your child. More information to follow on how the visit benefits our school.

Open House Information/Registration

No School Friday, 25 September

There is no school next Friday. Every year BCCI teachers have a professional development day in September. On this day, teachers will be spending the whole day preparing for our upcoming accreditation visit in January. January is a long time away, but we need to prepare very thorough reports in advance.

This is helpful for BCCI education because teachers will be reviewing what our school is doing great in teaching and areas where we need to improve. The sign of a high quality school is that it is always looking for ways to improve!

Semester 1 Emergency Drill

This Friday (18 September), BCCI conducted our Semester 1 Emergency Drill. Students and staff practiced a “full lockout” (doors locked & continue teaching) followed by a fire drill/school evacuation.

It’s a great opportunity for everyone to practice staying calm, quiet, and prepared while working together as a school community.

Preparedness today helps keep us safer tomorrow!

Good week at BCCI!

We have successfully implemented new security measures to keep our campus safe. One of the most important changes has been at the front gate. It remains locked through the day and no adults are allowed on campus unless they are invited by BCCI staff. Parents, thank you for your cooperation. I also met with community leaders this week. At some point, the curbs along our street will be painted red and white to signify no parking. This will help with our traffic flow in the morning and afternoon. We are able to get exceptions for special events so that parent can park in the street on event days.

Reminder: ECA/ASC/Sports Payment Settlement

Our ECA, ASC, and Sports programs have officially started this week.

This is a reminder to families who have not yet settled their payments to complete the process promptly.

• Payments can be made through the usual channels provided by the school office.

• For cash payments and credit cards, see Ms Tik in her office.
