Good week at BCCI!

We have successfully implemented new security measures to keep our campus safe. One of the most important changes has been at the front gate. It remains locked through the day and no adults are allowed on campus unless they are invited by BCCI staff. Parents, thank you for your cooperation. I also met with community leaders this week. At some point, the curbs along our street will be painted red and white to signify no parking. This will help with our traffic flow in the morning and afternoon. We are able to get exceptions for special events so that parent can park in the street on event days.

Reminder: ECA/ASC/Sports Payment Settlement

Our ECA, ASC, and Sports programs have officially started this week.

This is a reminder to families who have not yet settled their payments to complete the process promptly.

• Payments can be made through the usual channels provided by the school office.

• For cash payments and credit cards, see Ms Tik in her office.

• For online payments, send your transaction slip to Ms Hill.

About Friday

The demonstration outside of school on Friday morning was due to disagreements that began after a playground fight between two boys on 26 August. Because the situation escalated to the events on this past Friday, BCCI has prepared a document that explains what happened, starting with the conflict on August 26. About Monday

Increased BCCI Campus Security

• Campus visitors, including parents, will have to remain at the gate. If they have an appointment with BCCI staff, the staff will come to invite them inside.
• This means, that for the time being, the playground will be closed to parents after school. 
• Please be on time to pick up your child after school or after their ECA/ASC/Sport

The entire BCCI team—teachers, staff, administration—first and foremost thank you for support of the school. And thank you for following these guidelines to make our campus safer.

ECA/ASC/Sports

ECA/ASC/Sports start on Monday, 7th September 2026.

Parents settle your payments over the weekend, before ECA/ASC/Sports begin. Please check your child’s bag for the invoice.

Raz-Kids

Big news: We're rolling out Raz-Kids for our primary students! Most parents got login info this week. Please check your child' school bag. 

Raz-Kids lets kids read and listen to fun books at their own level. Quizzes make it even more fun. Encourage your child to spend 10-15 minutes reading, a few times a week. It can help build vocabulary, comprehension, and a lifelong love of reading! Log in, choose a book, and let the reading adventure begin! 

Map Testing

Through the end of September, students in Grades 2–12 will take the NWEA MAP Growth assessments in Reading, Language, Math, and Science. Yes, Science is new this year! BCCI administers MAP twice a year, September and May, to track student growth and guide teacher instruction. 

• MAP is not an achievement test
• The September test is diagnostic: shows where students are starting
• A small increase—or even a dip—in scores compared to MAP scores earlier this year is normal after summer break
• What matters most is the growth students make during the school year.

Communication Between Parents and School

Parents: Please let the school know if there is a better email that we can use to contact you. All updated information should be sent to the homeroom teacher: student name, parent name and updated email. BCCI will then update Alma.

• Semester 1 Duration: Starts 7 September 2026 and ends 27 November 2026 (10 weeks).

• Schedule:

  • Kindergarten: Activities begin at 2:30 PM

  • Primary, Middle School, and High School: Activities begin at 3:30 PM

• Sports Clubs Update: This school year, Flag Football and Boys’ Basketball are no longer FREE. Joining these clubs will require the same fee as other ECAs and ASCs: 2,500 THB per student for 10 weeks.

• Communication & Payment:

  • Information will be sent out on 24 August 2026
