High Quality Education

High Quality education means teacher training. Our next goal in teacher training is “Learning Targets”. Research shows that clear class learning targets improves student learning. Students understand more clearly what they are supposed to learn, and they take more ownership in their learning.

Thank you to parents

Thank you to the many parents who are getting your children to school by 7:55. An early arrival means starting school on time which in turn leads to better education. As principal, I also feel thankful for how positive parents are. I appreciate all the parents, and I feel like we are all on the same team to bless the students. Parents, we take seriously the trust you put in us to educate your children. No school is perfect. But as we work together, BCCI will grow stronger and stronger!

5 October 2025–Health Precautions

Due to numerous students being sick this past Friday, on Monday BCCI will take these health precautions.

  1. Parents with children who have been sick, please fill out this form before your child returns to school:  https://form.jotform.com/252758504712459
  2. Any student who has been ill and wishes to return to class must provide medical clearance, either in the form of a medical certificate from a doctor or ATK test results that clearly show one of the following: Influenza type A or B, Coronavirus, or RSV. Please refer to the sample shown in the picture below.
  3. The school will conduct health screening by requiring all students to have their temperature checked and wear a face mask before entering school.
  4. Parents can purchase the ATK test kits at pharmacies or convenience stores such as 7-Eleven.

    Influenza Prevention

    1. Wash your hands frequently with soap or alcohol-based gel
    2. Do not share personal items, such as drinking straws or spoons
    3. Avoid close contact with infected individuals. If unavoidable, wear a face mask to prevent the spread of infection
    4. Eat a balanced diet, get sufficient sleep, and exercise regularly
    5. Visit a doctor to get the annual flu vaccine

Health Update

  • This Friday, about 30 students were absent from school. Most were absent because they were not feeling well.
  • If your child has a fever, please do not send them to school.
  • All classroom surfaces will be disinfected this weekend.
  • All classrooms regularly receive an extra disinfectant “fog” treatment.

October: Self-Control

The BCCI character theme of the month is self-control. Self-control is necessary for success as a student and in the work world. To set our students up for success, we are emphasizing the need for self-control. Self control also honors God and God gives us strength for self control: “For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…and self control”! From the Bible, Galatians 5:22-23

Fire Drill

This past Thursday, we had our first fire drill of the year. The fire department was on hand to observe us. After the successful drill, we received a fire safety presentation in the cafeteria. We then went outside to participate in a fire extinguisher demonstration. There was real fire (a controlled blaze!) and teachers & older students were able to use the extinguisher.

See the photos below. You can see more photos on the BCCI Facebook page. Be sure to check back later this weekend when even more photos will be posted.
