OUR FIRST CHAPELS

• Chapel Theme Verses: Colossians 3:14-15a, And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.

MONTHLY CHARACTER FOCUS

• The theme this month is Acceptance
• Challenge to students: be friendly and helpful to other students

BCCI Library

• Teacher Kent introduced to all students the new and improved BCCI library
• Parents: you can view our library online: https://www.libib.com/u/bccilibrary
• Fun Facts: reading just 20 minutes a day will lead to 1.8 million extra words per year. Also, kids who read for fun do 3 times better academically!

Parents

REQUEST #1

• Please pick up your children on time after school
• Our teachers are busy after school, and we do not have the staff to supervise many children

REQUEST #2

• If your child is not feeling well, please keep him or her home from school
• Runny noses and persistent coughing? Not good for school
• We want to do our best to keep students healthy 😀 

FIRE DRILL

• Friday, 6 September, at 8:30
• The BCCI campus will be closed to visitors from 8:00am to 10:00am.

This is the place to receive the most important news about BCCI for the week ahead. We are so glad that your child or children are students at BCCI. And we are thankful that your family is a part of the BCCI community. We are all looking forward to a great year!

Notes from Parent Meeting

Parent Communication

• Parent & Student Handbook: LINK
• Check Thinkwave for student grades
• Classwork
• Kindergarten: LINE groups
• Grades 1 to 8: Google Sites
• High School: Google Classroom
• All school information: add the official BCCI LINE account (scan code from banners at school)
• On Friday: BCCI News will be sent via LINE with all school information
• On Sunday, 5:30pm: Google site links will be sent via LINE
• Grade level announcements (grades 1 to 12)
• Grade level education plan for that week (grades 1 to 8)
• All teachers’ emails will be included

Attendance

• Child missing school/sick? Email homeroom teacher
• Please drop off your children before 7:55am so that they can start school on time
• Please pick up your children on time after school

Other

• Visa services? See Card at the school. Make an appointment 1 to 2 days before coming to school and bring documents to office one month before expiration
• No personal device use on the playground and there is a new personal technology policy for the middle school and high school
• After school: parents are welcome on campus. Please walk around to the field and playground. Please do not go in the Kindergarten wing or upstairs.
• Primary parents: about birthdays, please give homeroom teacher advance notice and no ice cream cakes. Thank you!
• Healthy snacks are encouraged

A New School Year

 WELCOME TO BCCI 2024-2025

The teachers and staff have been busy getting ready. We are looking forward to a great year! Here are some important dates:

• August 19: First day of school. IMPORTANT: Noon dismissal/no lunch
• August 23: Parent/Teacher Afternoon from 3:30 to 4:30. Please make this event a priority to attend 😀 

• 3:30 to 4:00–Parents meet in the cafeteria for school-wide information
• 4:00 to 4:30–Parents go to the children’s classrooms to meet the teachers

A Word from the Principal

As we enter BCCI’s fifth year, we are stronger than ever. We have a great teacher team. We consider it an honor and a privilege to have parents send their children here. We want to keep the BCCI mission statement in front of us:

A God-centered learning community intent on restoring God’s world

For now, I just want to focus on “learning community”. BCCI endeavors to provide a high quality Christian education in a nurturing, supportive community. We want to teach, encourage and bless your children. We want to lead them in such a way that they in turn want to bless the people around them.

Thank you for joining us in this education adventure. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact teachers, other staff or me. As principal, I always want to make myself available to parents.
