WASC Visit

This coming week BCCI will be having an accreditation visit by the international accrediting agency, WASC. There will be two people from WASC on campus Wednesday through Friday. They will evaluate all areas of our school. We are excited to partner with them to continuously improve our high quality education at BCCI!

Middle School Academic Fair 

When: 

Friday, 28 March, 3:00 to 4:30

For Who:

Parents of middle school students and primary parents

Parents: please invite friends who might be interested in BCCI!

What:

Students will present what they have been learning in school in the cafeteria.

Also Pastor Mac and Dr. Ding Ding, BCCI’s principal and academic dean, will present BCCI plans for high quality education.  

ASEAN Day

8:30–Kindergarten parents please join us for our program!

One more thing: We would like to invite kindergarten families to share their positive experiences, "Testimony", with the school for the upcoming Kindergarten Open House in May. Further info will follow.

MS Academic Fair & Open House

Middle School students will be presenting what they have been learning in school

In addition to the fair, parents will have the opportunity to hear about BCCI middle school from the principal, Pastor Mac and academic dean, Dr. Ding Ding.

Picking Up Your Child or Children after school

• With the start of ECA and ASC this week
• Please pick up your child early from school
• Arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled dismissal time to help ensure a smooth transition for all students
• We appreciate your timeliness!

A Clean and Safe School

What the school is doing

• Regularly disinfecting classrooms, especially if there are students who have had colds
• Regularly spraying for mosquitoes. The next spray is scheduled for this Saturday

What parents can do

• SYMPTOMS: Please be vigilant for symptoms of a cold, which may include a runny or stuffy nose, cough, sore throat, sneezing, and fatigue. If your child is experiencing these symptoms, we encourage you to keep them at home to rest and recover.
• COMMUNICATION: If your child is feeling unwell, please inform the school. This will help us monitor the situation and take necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of all students.
• RETURN TO SCHOOL: We ask that students remain at home until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours without the use of medication. This will help prevent the spread of illness in the classroom.

ECA/ASC/Sports Update - The ECA/ASC/Sports Final Update will indicate whether any activities are marked as canceled. Parents will have a two-day window over the weekend to make any necessary adjustments. For any changes, please contact T Hill or please submit the registration form again.

Building Vocabulary

• School-wide action goal: building English vocabulary
• Middle School and High School: using the app, Membean
• Students will learn vocabulary on the app for 45 minutes per week: in class and at home
• MS/HS Parents: please support students to use Membean to build vocabulary!
• ALL PARENTS: Encourage reading at home 😀

Art Auction

Proceeds will go to two projects at BCCI. A playground area renovation and a high school fine arts room on the 4th floor.

Bring money for art!

• All students will have the opportunity to purchase artwork on Thursday and Friday morning (13 & 14 March).
• Parents will be able to purchase artwork when they come to BCCI on Friday.
• And everyone is welcome to participate in the silent and live auctions!

Upcoming

• Middle School Academic Fair—28th March: middle school students will be showcasing their work and it is a great opportunity to learn more about BCCI’s middle school. We invite both primary and middle school parents to attend.
• Kindergarten ASEAN Day—28th March: We are thrilled to invite you to our ASEAN Day celebration! Join us for a day of cultural exploration, fun activities, and learning as we celebrate the diverse traditions and values of the ASEAN community.
